Rock and Ride, previously known as the Ride for Heart Health, is an event featuring a bike ride through the beautiful Finger Lakes followed by a night filled with music, wine and great food, all while promoting heart health and fitness! Cayuga Medical Center, alongside the Cayuga Heart Institute and Treleaven Wines of King Ferry, NY, have come together to offer a full day of events centered around cardiac health awareness.
Beginning with registration at 9am, the ride will kick off at 10am with a choice of three different courses: 30, 50 and 70 miles. The breathtaking route will travel through the gorgeous wine regions of New York State alongside Owasco and Cayuga Lakes. Immediately after completing the course, riders, and observers alike, will be able to partake in the after party featuring music by the Mutron Warriors and City Limits, as well as sample delicious food created by Alexander’s Food Truck and Smokey Legends BBQ. Both events are family friendly with all proceeds benefiting the Cayuga Heart Institute.
So, join us in what is known as “one of the nicest rides in the Finger Lakes” to help raise awareness about heart health!
Beautiful route, good breaks, good support, great food and music.
I loved everything about the ride. Good cause, good food, good location. Nice people and a laid back event. I had lots of fun.
My sister and I participated in the ride for heart health on Saturday. I would like to thank you for putting on a wonderful ride. The organization of the event was excellent, support was superb, and people working couldn’t have been nicer or more efficient. Rest stops were fantastic and much appreciated and route directions were great the entire way . I have nothing but good things to say about your ride and will recommend it to all my biking friends.
The ride was excellent, and the music/food/drink at the end of the event were a great place to mingle and enjoy the morning.
The Rock and Ride is an event near and dear to my heart. Not only is it a great opportunity for cyclists like myself to compete with a ride through the Finger Lakes, but it’s also an amazing fundraiser that raises awareness about common heart issues and how to treat them. I look forward to competing in the event every year!
